[At Deception. Amy leaves Laura’s office, heads for the elevator, then turns back and walks to Elton’s desk.]
Amy: “Elton.”
Elton: “Hmm?” [Laura overhears.]
Amy: “I think you should know something. Scotty Baldwin isn’t just Laura’s attorney. He was her first husband, so when he calls [snaps her fingers] put that call right through.”
Elton: “Really? Tell me something. Who left whom? Was it a good divorce or a train wreck?”
Amy: “Oh, my gosh, that’s way too much for me to tell you right now.”
Elton: “Any chance of reconciliation?”
Amy: [Grins.] “I’m kind of hoping so.”
Elton: “Yes?”
Amy: “Oh! There’s such chemistry between the two of them. You should’ve seen them when we were trimming that Christmas tree!”
Elton: “Really?”
Amy: “Mhmm.”
Laura: [Appears.] “Amy.”
Amy and Elton: [Startled.] “Oh.”
Amy: “Gotta go.” [She rushes off.]
[Elton pretends to be busy working. Laura looks from one to the other, smirks, then goes back into her office, shaking her head.]
